ISLAMABAD (Dunya News):-Supreme Court office returned the petition filed for extension in the service of Chief Justice of Pakistan period with objection.
Advocate Abdur Rashid Qureshi moved a writ petition in the court with the stance that chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remained suspended for 22 months. So his service period should be extended as it is constitutional right of the chief justice who is entitled to entertain it.
Supreme Court Registrar Office rejected the application with five objections, with the direction that the petitioner is not an affected party in the application.
The apex court office also was of the view that the petitioner has not raised the issue on related forum in this regard.
