LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought a report over the steps being taken by the government to control the measles epidemic. The record of last three years has been summoned on June 12.
The detailed report was summoned from health department on a petition seeking action over government’s failure to control measles outbreak.
During the hearing of the measles death case, Justice Khalid Mahmood remarked that the spread of the disease despite the vaccination drive was a great cause of concern.
Meanwhile, the petitioner stated that the health department has completely failed to curb the epidemic.
