Summary Requests court to direct ECP to stop success notification of his opponent Ijaz Jhakrani.
ISLAMABAD (Online): Former Speaker National Assembly Elahi Buksh Soomro has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against rigging in elections in constituency NA 201.
He requested the court that ECP may be directed to stop the notification regarding success of his opponent Ijaz Jhakrani.
He said in this application that he has un-refutable evidences of rigging so re-polling may be ordered in doubtful polling stations of the constituency
In his application he said that on election day, the paid hooligans of his opponent Ijaz Jhakrani not only grabbed many polling stations but also tortured his polling agents.
Soomro told the court that till late the results were coming in his favour but on the intervention of some unseen powers , the results were suddenly changed.
