LAHORE (Online) - PTI chief Imran Khan would be discharged on Wednesday, according to his doctors.

 

The 60-year-old was ordered by doctors to remain immobile in a hospital bed with fractured vertebrae and a broken rib after falling from a hoist raising him to the stage at a rally just days before the May 11 general election.

 

Doctors at Shaukat Khanam Hospital said Imran Khan was fitted with a specially designed spinal support, or brace. Following this, he stood upright and unsupported for the first time since his injury two weeks ago.

 

Shortly thereafter, Imran walked unaided for over 300 metres. He remained pain-free throughout this time.

 

The hospital administration said Khan Imran is expected to be discharged from hospital on Wednesday afternoon, however, he would continue to receive regular physiotherapy and likely to wear the spinal support for some weeks.
