PPP's Sassi Palejo loses PS-85 poll despite vote recount
Before recount Haider Shiraz had received 21,500 votes and Sassi Palejo secured 20,674 votes.
THATHA (Dunya News) - Despite the recount of votes in the PS-85 constituency, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Sassi Palejo lost to independent candidate Amir Haider Shirazi.
The Shirazi group-backed independent candidate Syed Ameer Haider Shah Shirazi secured 20,050 votes.
The Election Commission ordered for vote recount after Sassi Palejo’s appeal, however, she bagged only 19,750 votes.
