Violation of code of conduct: Imran, Maryam, Marqhub, Bilal absent from court
The court has set aside the plea from exemption to appear in the court.
LAHORE (Dunya News):-PTI chairman Imran Khan, PML-N leaders Maryam Nawaz, Bilal Yasin and Mian Marghub did not appear in the court despite receiving summons issued by Returning Officer.
Retuning Officer’s court resumed hearing of violation of code of conduct case where the monitoring team told the court that PTI chairman Imran Khan held rallies on the Mall Road while PML-N leaders Maryam Nawaz, Bilal Yasin and Mian Marghub in Amin Park without permission of DIG Lahore which is sheer violation of code of conduct enunciated by the Election Commission Of Pakistan.
The court while rejecting the petition filed for exemption of aforesaid leaders remarked as why Imran and other leaders who violated the code of conduct did not appear before the court.
The counsel on the part of Imran Khan requested the court to give him permission for two hours, so that he may be able to have a contact with the PTI chairman and collect information from him about his appearance in the court.
The court’s short order said that Imran Khan should appear in the court before May 4 in order to express his version; otherwise, the court would be bound to announce its verdict.
