The death toll following rains and floods in Jeddah on Wednesday has risen to at least 77. Fifty were Pakistanis among the dead. Hajj Ministry coordinator Farog Aftab told that all the 50 deaths were naturally causes. No Pakistani was died with swine flu and dengue virus. According to spokesman of the Civil Defense in Jeddah Capt. Abdullah Al-Amri, twenty-one of the victims have been identified as Saudis and their bodies were handed over to the families for burial. The other victims are still being identified.Search is continued in flooded areas for survivors or victims.The death toll is expected to rise because many areas that were completely submerged in water have yet to be accessed. The Al-Haramain road was the most affected but added that work was currently under way to reopen it.
