Summary SC has ordered law enforcement agencies to ensure early return of Tauqir Sadiq to Pakistan.
ISLAMABAD (Online) - A two-member bench of SC led by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja took up the case for hearing Wednesday.
NAB Prosecutor General K.K. Agha told SC the UAE court had conducted hearing of Tauqir Sadiq case on April, 15 and the court had given time till May 20 to the accused Tauqir Sadiq for further preparations of the case. UAE court has not released Tauqir Sadiq.
Chairman NAB has written a letter to care taker government seeking its cooperation to ensure return of Tauqir Sadiq to country. Reply to this letter has not been received, therefore, more time be allowed, he pleaded.
Justice Jawwad S Khawaja remarked “ whatever is with you be filed in the court. And who had gone there.
Justice Jawwad S Khawaja further remarked “ we don’t want to make any interference in this case “We want government and NAB accelerate the pace of their efforts in this regard. The lawyers who have appeared there can tell in better way.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till May 23.
