Summary ECP says undecided appeals will be considered dismissed after expiry of deadline on Wednesday.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Spokesman for the Election Commission of Pakistan Khurshid Alam has said that according to the law tribunals are bound to take decision on an appeal within seven days, and in case of failure the appeal stands dismissed as per People’s Representation Act.
Khurshid Alam said in such a case the verdict of the Returning Officer is considered as final and binding.
He further said that candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till April 18, adding Election Commission will issues the final list on April 19.
Meanwhile, election tribunal has allowed Imran Khan to contest polls from NA 122 Lahore.
Arif Chaudhry has also been cleared for NA 144 Okara.
