WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - During a press briefing, US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Patrick Ventrell said that elections in Pakistan have a historical importance and the US wants peaceful polling process and transition of power.
He expressed the hope that Pakistani masses would elect their new leadership in free and fair elections.
Patrick Ventrell said the talks are underway with the authorities in Islamabad to send a US team to monitor the upcoming general elections.
