Summary The Supreme Court (SC) will resume hearing of treason case against Pervez Musharraf today.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – During previous hearing former president Pervez Musharraf had requested the Supreme Court to constitute a full bench to hear the treason case against him.
Musharraf had made the request in his reply submitted to the apex court in the case calling for proceedings against him under Article 6 of the Constitution.
Musharraf’s counsel, Ahmad Raza Kasuri, had requested the court to constitute a full bench to hear the case, adding that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry be not included in the bench.
The Supreme Court Registrar Office had raised some technical objections on the request. However, the counsel of the former military ruler will give his arguments on these objections during today’s proceedings.
