Summary JUI-F chief says Election Commission is widening scope of its code with every passing day.
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Talking to party workers JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman Sunday said Election Commission should make its position clear regarding its directions not to seek votes in name of Islam.
He said ECP was representing the views of secularists, adding Islam seeks power.
Election Commission is expanding the scope of its code with every passing day, he said.
Criticizing the insulting attitude of the Returning Officers during the process of scrutiny, Fazl said the ROs mocked the candidates.
“Institutions are crumbling in Pakistan and country is drifting towards bankruptcy,” he said.
He said 600 candidates of JUI-F were contesting the elections throughout the country, adding restoration of law and order would be the priority of JUI after coming to power.
