PPP, PML-Q finalise seat adjustment

PML-Q gained 25 while PPP got 75 constituencies in central Punjab.

 

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The PML-Q and PPP have reached a consensus over seat adjustment leaving six national and 14 Punjab Assembly seats open.


Q-League gained 25 while PPP got 75 constituencies in central Punjab.


According to sources PPP and PML-Q on Thursday agreed to support each other in the forthcoming general elections and 25 out of 100 constituencies were given to PML-Q in the central Punjab.

PPP got 148 constituencies of provincial assembly and PML-Q gained 52.


Disputed constituency of NA-105 Gujrat is still in abeyance as the constituency is a bone of contention between Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar of PPP.


President Asif Ali Zardari and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain are likely to meet on Tuesday to resolve the issue of NA-105.
