Ch Nisar allowed to contest polls from NA-53
Election Tribunal Rawalpindi bench Thursday accepted nomination papers of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
RAWALPINDI (Online): Election Tribunal Rawalpindi bench on Thursday accepting nomination papers of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan confirmed candidature of PML-N leader in May 11 election from NA-53 Taxila.
His nomination papers from NA-52 Rawalpindi had already been accepted.
The Tribunal dismissed rejection of former opposition leader in the National Assembly and allowed him to contest from NA-53 constituency.
After decision, Nisar’s lawyer Akram Sheik told the media that this was victory of truth and defeat of lie.
Chaudhry Nisar on Tuesday had filed a petition in election tribunal against the rejection of his nomination papers following his fake degree.
The nomination papers of Pakistan Muslims League-Nawaz stalwart had been rejected for NA-53.
His candidacy was rejected during the scrutiny process for not declaring accurate details about his assets.
Objections were submitted with the returning officer that the PML-N leader had not declared accurate details of his assets.
