RAWALPINDI (Online): Election Tribunal Rawalpindi bench on Thursday accepting nomination papers of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan confirmed candidature of PML-N leader in May 11 election from NA-53 Taxila.

His nomination papers from NA-52 Rawalpindi had already been accepted.

The Tribunal dismissed rejection of former opposition leader in the National Assembly and allowed him to contest from NA-53 constituency.

After decision, Nisar’s lawyer Akram Sheik told the media that this was victory of truth and defeat of lie.

Chaudhry Nisar on Tuesday had filed a petition in election tribunal against the rejection of his nomination papers following his fake degree.

The nomination papers of Pakistan Muslims League-Nawaz stalwart had been rejected for NA-53.

His candidacy was rejected during the scrutiny process for not declaring accurate details about his assets.

Objections were submitted with the returning officer that the PML-N leader had not declared accurate details of his assets.
