No party should impose one-sided solution in Kashmir: FO

Foreign office spokesman Abdul Basit said on Sunday that Jammu and Kashmir was a disputed region and no party can make a one-sided decision. The spokesman said Indian premieres statement about Pakistans desire to occupy Kabul was weird.Talking exclusively to Dunya News, Abdul Basit said that Jammu and Kashmir was a disputed region. The issue was still waiting to be resolved in light of UNs resolutions on Kashmir that stated that Kashmiris should be given right to chose their fate, he added. He stressed that no party should impose one-sided solution. Commenting on Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singhs statement that Pakistan wanted to occupy Kabul, the foreign office spokesman said it was a weird remark. He said Pakistan had long lasting relations with Afghanistan and wanted peace in the country. We want integrity and peace in Afghanistan because it is also in the best interests of our country.
