At least six people have been killed and 36 others injured in a suicide attack on Badhbeer Police Station in Peshawar, Dunya News reported on Monday. This is the third blast in provincial capital during last four days. The blast severely damaged police station and the nearby buildings. The police and relief workers have kicked off the relief activities. The injured also include six students. According to eye witnesses, a nearby building is also damaged in the blast. Five-fee deep and 17-feet wide fissure caused on the blast spot. According to police officials, 200 to 250 kg explosive has been used in the blast. Emergency has been imposed in the hospitals while the injured are being shifted to Lady Reading Hospital in private vehicles. Earlier, 17 people were killed in a blast at Pushta Khara Chowk Peshawar. A blast on Khyber Road had also damaged a sensitive agencys building besides killing at least seven people. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani have strongly condemned the blast. Law enforcing agencies have surrounded the area and started investigations. Talking to Dunya News, NWFP Information Minister termed the blast a reaction of South Waziristan operation. He said that timely actions of police were rescuing city from some big destruction. The minister maintained that NWFP needed financial help desperately to counter terrorism.
