Summary NAB had filed plea in SC for adjournment of OGRA case as NAB’s official concerned was abroad.


ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court has rejected NAB’s plea to put off the hearing of OGRA verdict implementation case.

 

The SC bench, chaired by Justice Jawad S Khwaja, was informed that the NAB Prosecutor General could not appear in the court as he had gone abroad.

 

Additional Prosecutor General Muzhar Chaudhry appeared in the court and presented the report about Tauqeer Sadiq’s return. The court expressed dissatisfaction over the report and said it seemed the matter was being delayed. Additional Prosecutor General prayed to the court for adjournment of the hearing till the return of the Prosecutor General.

 

The court, instead, gave two days for the arrest of ex-chairman OGRA Tauqeer Sadiq.

 

Mazhar Chaudhry informed the plea for the arrest of the accused in Dubai has been accepted.
