Summary Chief Justice says that police should have arrested the people who let the accused Shahrukh escape.


Chief Justice while conducting hearing of a case said that this impression should be effaced that influential personalities are not properly tried in accordance with true spirit of rules and regulations. 


ISLAMABAD: A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted hearing of the Shazeb murder case.


During hearing of the case, the Chief Justice while addressing DIG Shahid Hayat said that “You have delegated the investigation authority to an ASI who is not competent to probe into the complicated matter. If it occurs anything unusual, you will be held responsible for the odd result.”


The Chief Justice also consulted the DIG that had he taken into possession the documents through which Shah Rukh Jatoi travelled abroad. At this, the DIG replied that the aforesaid documents are in possession of a travelling agency.


He also briefed that court that it is duty of the FIA to trace the track and tactic by which the accused ultimately succeeded in escaping abroad.


At this Chief Justice remarks that this impression should be mended that influential personalities are not properly tried in accordance with true spirit of rules and regulations.
