28 militants killed, 5 officials martyred in South Waziristan

The security forces killed 28 militants during the last 24 hours in the operation Rah-e-Nijaat in South Waziristan while 5 security officials were also martyred in different clashes. According to ISPR, five soldiers were martyred in a bomb blast during clearance operation in Sararoga while 16 militants were killed in a skirmish. Forces are consolidating their position in Sararoga. Five militants have been arrested in search operation in different areas of South Waziristan. Security forces have strengthened their position in Jandola sector. Security forces got control of Ladha fort, and Shah Kakas area have been cleared of militants. Seven militants were killed in retaliation in Mingorasar and Gandaigar. Forces have recovered heavy ammunition and artillery during search operation in Rizmak and Makeen.
