LAHORE: Sufferings of poor patients are worsening with every passing day as protest strike of Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab in Out-Patients Departments (OPDs) has entered 9th consecutive day.
YDA Punjab continued their protest strike in all the OPDs of hospitals located in Lahore to exert their pressure on the government to consider their demands regarding service structure, release of their colleagues and stop victimisation.
Relatives of those patients who had come for check-up at OPDs demanded the government to dismiss all those doctors involve in this crime of denying fair and timely treatment to poor patients at OPDs.
On the other hand, young doctors continued treatment of patients in makeshift OPD camps set up outside hospitals.
