Summary Qamar Zaman Kaira says nobody will be allowed to disrupt the public life.
ISLAMABAD: Talking to media persons in Islamabad on Friday‚ Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the federal and the Punjab governments have received information that there are serious threats of terrorism to the long march of Tahirul Qadri.
He welcomed MQM s change of mind and decision of not taking part in the long march.
Karia advised Minhajul Quran chief Tahirul Qadri to take back his decision of long march‚ as did the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
Regretting the recent wave of terrorism in the country‚ the information minister said certain elements are using different tactics to delay the general election in the country. He said the government and its security institutions are alive to the situation and would foil the nefarious designs of terrorists.
Earlier‚ the Information Minister inaugurated the trail 6 for hiking near Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.
Speaking on this occasion Kaira said the government will try to secure the long march participants but cannot guarantee their security.
Responding to a question, Qamar Zaman Kaira said everybody has the right to protest for his or her cause; however‚ nobody will be allowed to disrupt the public life.
