Summary The ECP has started door-to-door verification of voters in Karachi with the help of Pak Army.
KARACHI: The process of verification will complete in March and about 15,000 ECP workers are taking part in the drive. The voter verification would be carried out between Jan 15th and Feb 1. Following the voter verification, the ECP would compile its record within week or so and would verify the record with the National Database and Registration Authority before completing the task.
The staff of provincial election commission including five Registration Officers (ROs), 197 Assistant Registration Officers (AROs), 3216 supervisors and 11,300 verification officials will start door-to-door verification of more than 6.9 million voters in Karachi from today (Thursday) along with the personnel of Army, Rangers and Frontier Corps (FC).
