KANDHKOT: A deadly measles outbreak in Sindh has left at least 249 children dead, Dunya News reported on Thursday.

 

According to reports gathered from different parts of upper Sindh, including Sukkur, Ghotki, Kandhkot, Thal and Tangwani, three children lost their lives due to the measles virus in the last 24 hours.

 

The health ministry said that the vaccination process will be completed by January 11. However, vaccination could not be started in Shikarpur and several other adjoining villages due to the non-availability of vaccines. 

 

Meanwhile, the measles epidemic has also affected sixteen children in Sibi, a district of Balochistan.
