Summary Altaf Hussain says MQM-Awami Tehreek alliance is a ray of hope for the downtrodden of Pakistan.
KARACHI: Addressing the rally organised by MQM to express solidarity with Dr Tahirul Qadri, Altaf Hussain asked MQM workers to participate in January 14 long march to Islamabad.
“People’s parliament will assert its Will on Jan 14,” he said.
Altaf said both Awami Tehrik and MQM were the upholders of the cause of the oppressed and downtrodden people.
He said the journey towards evolutionary change in Pakistan has started and the Army and other national institutions to support the revolution instead of putting stumbling blocks in its way.
“Allah has given me an elder brother to lead the struggle for the rights of the poor masses,” he said.
MQM is the sole party to send representatives from the middle class to the parliament, he said.
He urged other political parties to join the journey for revolution. People’s march will result in quick-march of the feudal lords and exploiters, said Altaf.
He said Punjab government is hatching conspiracies against MQM.
He made it clear that the Election Commission has no powers to disqualify the looters of national wealth; only a revolutionary movement can uproot and exterminate these black sheep from the political system.
Long march is not against anybody, it is for the security and prosperity of the new generations, he said.
He said MQM will follow decisions of Tahirul Qadri regarding the long march.
“Our aim is not the change of government but the change of system. Assemblies will be purged of corrupt politicians and land reforms will be introduced, he said.
In the end he appealed to people to donate for the arrangements of the long march.
