Summary Minhajul Quran chairman says he has no secret agenda and change was his only agenda.

 

KARACHI: Addressing a huge public rally at Jinnah Ground in Karachi organized by the MQM, he said that his party along with his revolutionary workers launched his revolutionary journey on December 23, and this caravan would be successful by the grace of Allah.


He thanked Altaf Hussain and MQM leadership for responding to his call for extermination of feudalism and exploitative system which had enslaved the people of Pakistan.

“There is similarity between the manifesto of TMQ and MQM,” he said.


Presenting his manifesto Allama Tahirul Qadri said his mission was to change the current system of exploitation, and ensure provision of justice and basic needs to every Pakistani.


He said his party workers would not indulge in any act of violence during the long march in Islamabad.


He said world’s biggest Al-Tehreer Square will be seen in Islamabad on January 14, adding the people’s parliament will assert its will in Islamabad.


He said that he had raised the banner for uplift of the nation. “We would like to have a salvation for the wretched of the land which has become a prison for the people.”


“The poor are wandering here and there in search of bread and butter and are sell selling children for the sake of their basic needs,” he said.


When thousands of the people stand for an ideology, their aspirations turn into a living reality, he said.


Refuting the allegations leveled against his movement, he said that he did not believe in any secret agenda. “Uplift of the people is my only agenda,” he said.


He said that constitution guarantees the liberty to the nation and stresses upon honesty but the rulers were committing corruption in the name of law and order.


Quoting references from the Holy Quran and sayings of the Holy Prophet, he said that it was the duty of the rulers to provide justice to people.


He said that there is no rule of law in the country.


“Corruption, jobbery and bribery have become hallmark of the day. The poor have been thrown at the mercy of the fate without leaving any hope for survival.”


The situation in the country has become so pitiable that the leaders of the nation have become looters.


 

 He said that the candidates who meet the criteria of the section 62of the Constitution should be allowed to contest the forthcoming elections.


Tax givers should be allowed to sit in the assemblies and tax evaders should not be let to do politics.


He said that fake degree holders should be banished out of the political setup.


He said that at least 60% people of the country are noble but they avoid casting votes as it is hollow practice in their viewpoint.

 

“We want to uplift the name of Pakistan among other nations of the world”, said Qadri.

 

He said that criteria of merit should be kept in view while recruiting officers from grass root level to the key posts such as is the case with the Pakistan Army.

 

Discussing law and order situation in Karachi, he said that looting, plundering and killing and extortion have become routine life. Some hidden elements are hatching conspiracies against the hub of national economy.

 

On Balochistan, he said that some people want to turn it into waste land for anarchy but such hands would be cut down by nationalists.

 

He also paid tribute to ANP leadership which did not surrender before terrorists.

 

He said that his mission is to save and secure the lives and properties of the people who gave sacrifices for the independence of the country.


He also invited the rally participants to join hands with him for virtual liberty of the nation.
