Pak, Afghan military officials agree to set up hotline

Summary Pakistan and Afghanistan director military operations have agreed to set hotline.

 

Under border mechanism coordination, Pakistan, Afghanistan and ISAF forces have finalized strategy for action against terrorists under which the number of liaison offices has been increased from two to three.

 

A liaison office has been established at the Bagram Airbase in this regard while two offices are already working in Torkham and Kabul respectively.

 

According to new SOP, both the sides will take each other into confidence before any movement against terrorists and Pakistan and Afghanistan director military operations have agreed to set hotline in this regard while commander will be informed before any movement against Taliban or Al Qaeda militants.
