President accepts resignations of judges

President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday accepted the resignations of Mr. Justice Dr. Allama Khalid Mehmood and Dr. Rashid Ahmad Jalandhri, Members of the Shariah Appellate Bench, Supreme Court of Pakistan. The President also accepted the resignation of Mr. Justice Zia Pervez, Judge of Sindh High Court, who opted for premature/early retirement under Article 195 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Spokesperson to the President former Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the resignations were accepted on the advice of the Prime Minister.
