US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday said she was astonished to see denunciation on Kerry-Lugar Bill in Pakistan, adding that Pakistan could refuse to take the aid if it did not want, there was no pressure on Pakistan to accept it.The US secretary of state had to face tough questions on drone strikes and KLB during her meeting with senior anchors and journalists from leading news channels. Ms. Clinton said that United States had pure intention in KLB. Upon a question that the US was conducting drone strikes despite a joint resolution against the strikes in Pakistani parliament, she said these things happen during war. Clinton maintained that she was unaware of recovery of arms from US personnel in Islamabad. Lauding Pak Armys role in war on terror, she said Afghanistan did not have such army in the country. Answering a question whether the ISI should be headed by a civilian or a military man, she said Whoever heads ISI, he should be competent and the best choice. Clinton also admitted failed policies of Bush administration during the meeting.Director Current Affairs Dunya News Naseem Zahra was also part of the meeting and apprised that Hillary Clinton said during the meeting that the concerns on KLB among Pakistanis were due to misinterpretation. The anchors replied that the problem was not misinterpretation but the policy, therefore, the policy needed to be reviewed. When Clinton was asked why Pakistan was not being given Drones technology, she said the policies were under review in this regard.
