Some money changers financing terrorists: Malik

Interior Minister Rehman Malik Thursday said there are reports that some money exchange dealers and some other foreign sources are indulging in terrorism financing.He said the issue has been seriously taken up and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been directed to conduct full fledged investigation in the matter and anyone found involved in terrorism financing must be dealt with under Anti-Terrorism Act. Malik said all such unscrupulous elements are, therefore, warned to refrain from indulging in this heinous crime otherwise they would be dealt with severely under Anti-Terrorism Act without any mercy.Earlier, talking to Secretary General Wafaq-ul-Madaris Alarabia Qari Hafeez Jalandhri on telephone, the interior minister made it clear that the government did not intend to raid Madrassas and interfere in their internal affairs.
