Summary Opposition leader Ch Nisar Khan says mismanagement in D-8 summit made Pakistan laughing.
“D-8 summit was a positive step and it was vital global conference. It could help highlight positive impact about Pakistan across the world but ineptness and mismanagement the rulers in organizing this conference made the country laughing stock in the international community”, he said this while talking to the media at his chambers here.
The rulers overlooked days of holy month of Muharram before setting the dates for holding this conference, which proves the incompetence of the government in organizing the world level conferences, he remarked.
It was befitting step to invite Egyptian President Mursi to address the conference but the rulers should tell as to why such invitation could not be given to old friend Iranian president, he questioned.
He was of the view Aiwan-e-Sadr and President Asif Ali Zardari dominated the conference which was a sheer breach of rules and regulations. As per Pakistani laws the Prime Minister is chief executive of the country and he is only authorised to host such global conference, he added.
By isolating the prime minister from the conference, the president has given message how much powerful he is, Nisar held.
Nisar regretted that a budding youth who lacks expertise in political field and he has not taken oath under the constitution and is holding no public office was given prominent role in the conference. This is blatant defiance of national and international rules, he added.
He stated shadow of Zardari family has been cast on D-8 conference and a thing upon which this shadow falls, it is doomed to destruction.
