Four accused of KPT oil terminal attack arrested

Karachi Police arrested Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Karachi chapter chief along with three accomplices and recovered 75-kilograms high explosive material and ammunition from their possession.CCPO Karachi Waseem Ahmed disclosed this while addressing a hurriedly-called press conference at Central Police Office (CPO) on Monday. SSP CID investigation Zone II, Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam was also present. He said the arrested accused had also tried to explode an oil depot in Keamari on September 14, 2009, but the police foiled this terrorism and the accused fled leaving behind arms and explosives there. CCPO Karachi claimed to recover 75 kilograms of RDX, a high explosive material, three Kalashnikovs and one TT pistols from the possession of arrested accused. He said the arrested accused was identified as Akhtar Zaman, TTP Karachi chapter chief, Samiullah alias Shamim, Fazal Kareem and Munawwar Khan.
