Summary Sindh Assembly on Thursday passed Local Government Bill 2012 into a law amid rumpus.
As the Speaker announced the signing of Sindh Local Government Bill‚ opposition members tore down the copies of the agenda and threw towards the Speaker in protest.
The opposition members termed the treasury members as traitors of Sindh while both sides exchanged harsh words.
Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq said that that those protesting against the bill were followers of Pervez Musharraf.
Agha Siraj Durrani said that the government would cooperate with the opposition.
Jam Madad Ali of Functional League said that the opposition was not afraid of any minister as the opposition members were also sons of Sindh and protest was their right.
Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly Shehla Raza said only those speak loudly who don’t have any arguments. She declared the female members of the opposition as Benjamin sisters.
Earlier‚ speaking on the law and order situation of the province‚ Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said the government is mobilizing all possible sources to control over the law and order situation in the province‚ particularly in Karachi.
