Summary President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the next elections will be held on time.

 

President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the ongoing unrest in Karachi is not failure of State; rather is it is conspiracy against government and country, terrorists want to weaken government’s resolve in war against terrorism by creating unrest in Karachi.

 

He said next elections would be held on time and would be free and transparent; adding that every force of Pakistan is answerable to parliament.

 

He was addressing a big Eid Milad Party that PPP Mandi Bahauddin arranged at Malikwal this afternoon.

 

President Asif Ali Zardari has held out an assurance that the next general elections would be held on time and these would be free, fair and transparent.

 

The President said mechanism has been developed to ensure free and fair elections. He pledged to the people and political forces that power would be transferred to any one mandated by the electorate.

 

Asif Ali Zardari said an independent Election Commission and transparent voters’ lists would help ensure achieve the objective of free and fair elections.

 

The President said it was for the first time in the history of the country that the parliament was going to complete its tenure.

 

The President said law and order situation in Karachi is being deliberately created to divert our attention from war against terror. He said situation in Karachi is not the failure of the state but some hidden powers are involved in destabizing peace in the city under a planned strategy. He, however, vowed that their designs will be foiled with the support of the people.
