Karachi violence takes five more lives

Summary At least five people were killed in separate incidents of firing and violence in Karachi on Tuesday.

 

Despite the claims of action by the law enforcement agencies, incidents of target killing and violence continue in Karachi.


The biggest slum area Orangi Town has become a target of miscreants. Two persons were killed and another was injured in Aligarh Bazaar area of Orangi Town.


Panic gripped the area after the incident while shops and other businesses were closed. A man was also shot dead in Korangi Dhai area while another man was killed in Mominabad area of the same locality.


Earlier, on November 11, some people opened firing at a shop in Islampura area of Orangi Town and killed a man and his two sons while two people were shot dead on November 12 in Bangla Bazaar and Ghaziabad area of Orangi Town. A dead body was found from Iqbal Market.


The funeral prayer of Muhammad Irfan, an activist of a religious party, was offered in Nagan Chorangi on Tuesday.


Meanwhile, fingerprints of an attacker of Rangers Headquarters were preserved and were sent to NADRA Office for further details while fingers of the attackers were sent to Islamabad for DNA tests.
