Summary Aftab Sherpao has asked govt to from a welfare trust for families of terror victims.

Speaking at a party convention here on Saturday , he said that the so-called champions of peace ignored the victim families who lost their only bread earners in the war against terrorism.

“The government is unconcerned about their survival because the rulers are busy in corruption and embezzling public welfare fund. Practical steps yet to be taken to help the victim families,” he said.

The QWP chairman asked the international community to accept the sacrifices of Pakhtuns who were the ultimate sufferers of war on terror.

He lamented that neither the rulers nor the international community were interested in the rehabilitation of Pakhtuns as steps were yet to be taken.

“Mere verbal acceptance by the international community won’t help heal the wounds of Pakhtuns. Practical steps are required for rehabilitation and reconstruction of the damaged infrastructure in the region,” he said.

He invited all the political pa rties and civil society to join hands for bringing back peace to the region and work together for its development.

He added that so-called champions of Pakhtuns’ rights were playing politics over the dead bodies of innocent Pakhtuns.

“Most of those killed in target killing in Karachi have no affiliation with ANP or any other political party. They were innocent poor labourers, working to earn an honourable living for their children,” he said.

Talking about the popularity of QWP, he said prominent nationalist leaders from Karachi and Balochistan had assured him for joining his party. He said he would soon pay visits to Karachi and Balochistan to secure more public support for the party.

He maintained that QWP would fight for the rights of Pakhtuns and all other nations living in the region.
