Summary MQM has postponed its referendum, which was to be held on November 14, in respect of Muharram.
The decision has been taken with everyone’s consent, MQM’s spokesman said in a statement, adding that the new date of referendum will be announced soon.
The party chief Altaf Hussain has endorsed the decision.
It may be pertinent to mention that the referendum was first supposed to be conducted on November 8, but was postponed till 14th due to Ideas 2012.
MQM will ask this question in the referendum: “Do you want a Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam or a Pakistan of Taliban?” following the two options Quaid-e-Azam and Taliban.
