Summary Supreme Court in detail judgment said the then President, COAS and DG ISI misused their power.
In an unprecedented move, the Registrar of Supreme Court handed down the detailed judgment of Mehrangate case along with its Urdu version.The reason that is cited for doing so was avoiding any misreporting on the part of the media.The 150-page verdict is written by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.Registrar Supreme Court Dr Faqeer Hussainsaid the misuse of power was committed by the then president, chief of army staff and ISI. The court ordered to get back the amount from those who received it along with the interest.The court also said the act of giving and getting the said amount has been proved.The court directed that action should be taken against all those involved in the affair.
