Lahore came under attack once again on Thursday. Two police facilities -- Manawan and Bedian training centres -- and FIA building targeted by the terrorists in wave of attacks, Dunya News reported. At least 24 people including 11 police officials, 8 terrorists and 5 citizens have been killed and several others got injured in the attacks. After four hours of the first terrorist activity, the situation is now totally under control. FIA building and Manawan police training centre have been cleared off. And the operation in Bedian training centre has also finished. However, the thorough search of the area and the city is not yet completed. Two alleged terrorists have been arrested from Miani Sahib and Walton. Tehreek-e-Taliban Punjab, Amjad Farooqi Group, has claimed responsibility of attacks. In the first incident, five unidentified armed persons entered into the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) building situated at Temple Road in Lahore and started indiscriminately firing due to which 7 people including 4 citizens, two FIA Inspectors and one terrorist were killed and many injured. The FIA building has been cleared off and hostages have been released. Police have arrested a suspected person. This is the same building near the Regal Chowk Lahore which was attacked last year by the terrorists in which at least 25 people including 13 FIA officials were killed and over 100 others were injured. In another incident, unidentified persons attacked the Manawan police academy with hand grenades and left 10 dead including four terrorists and six officials. According to latest reports, Manawan police academy has also been cleared off after the operation. In March 2009, masked gunmen stormed the same Manawan police academy, unleashing a fierce firefight that left at least 27 dead. In the third incident in Lahore, 10-15 unidentified persons including three women wearing police uniform entered into Elite Force training centre at Bedian Road and started firing in which 7 people including one instructor, one citizen, 5 terrorists were killed and eight others injured. Operation against the terrorists has finished under the supervision of SP Elite Force Janahzaib Nazeer. However, the thorough search of the area is not yet completed. Talking to media after the completion of operation, Major General Shafqaat said terrorists could not enter into the Bedian training centre. He denied the news that three women were among the terrorists who attacked the Bedian training centre. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and other notable political personalities have strongly condemned Lahore terrorist attacks.
