Summary Foreign Minister says Pakistan and the US need to focus on revival of strategic and economic ties.
The newly-appointed US Ambassador Richard Olson called on Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar in Islamabad on Monday and discussed matters of bilateral interest.The two sides also discussed ongoing developments in the region.Welcoming the Ambassador‚ the Foreign Minister stressed that the two countries should focus on the revival strategic partnership‚ infrastructure and development projects and enhancing economic and trade ties.She also outlined the US assistance in the development of Pakistans energy sector.The American Envoy said his country wants to work with Pakistan to achieve shared objectives including peace and stability in the region.He appreciated Pakistans sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
