They have their existence in Quetta and other areas of Balochistan and the Pakistani government should root them out from here, US Consul General Stephen G. Fakan told the newsmen during a press conference in Quetta on Wednesday. He warned of occurrence of Waziristan-like situation in the province if the necessary action was not taken against Taliban in Quetta. He insisted that news about Taliban presence in Quetta being published in US media are valid and some Pakistani officials have also admitted it. The US envoy said that Taliban should not be given further time, otherwise situation might be deteriorated. He also lauded the Pak Armys anti-militant operations. Talking to Dunya News exclusively in this regard, JUI leader and senior senator Maulana Abdul Wasih said that the US uses different tactics to attack any nation. He said the US used false propagandas of democracy to attack Iraq and Taliban presence to attack Waziristan. He said that this new propaganda of Taliban presence in Quetta is part of old lies while US only wants to fulfill its goals in the region. He said if Balochistan can turn into Waziristan, we say it will turn into Afghanistan for the US. He said that so-called Taliban in Balochistan have not damaged any school, home or NATO supply line. He said that US should only ask for the operation against the militants if NATO supply line is damaged.
