Summary CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry says that justice should be delivered to people on their threshold.
While addressing Sargodha Bar Association, he said that days of oppression and repression are numbers and there would be rule of law across the country.He said that youths sincerely sacrificed for independence of judiciary during Lawyer Movement against dictatorial era and judiciary would continue to perform their liabilities for protection of human rights on priority basis.He said that peoples’ expectations from the judiciary are increasing with the passage of time and the innocent masses can’t be left at the mercy of opportunist rulers who have nothing to do with the welfare of the people; rather their mission is to collect money in the name of democracy.He said that Lawyers’ Movement has proved with their untiring and unparalleled and unprecedented movement that now there would no martial law in the country.
