The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) has expelled petitions regarding judges case affected by July 31 ruling, while decision about judges seeking unconditional pardon would be made by the larger bench of the SC, Dunya News reported Tuesday. A 14-judge larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case of petitions of review on July 31 verdict. The bench declared that action would be taken against those judges who have not yet submitted apology. Only Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza wrote opposing note out of 14 member bench. Twenty five PCO judges guilty of contempt of court have already submitted unconditional apology however former chief justice Abdul Hameed Dogar has not submitted the apology yet. During the hearing yesterday, former judge of Peshawar High Court, Ijaz Jahanzeb Raheems counsel accused members of larger bench of being bias and demanded Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan to leave the hearing of the case. Later talking to newsmen, lawyer of the former Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Ahmed Raza Qasuri said that a review petition would be filed within two weeks.
