Summary Senate committee recommended that inductions be made in FBR on the basis of provincial quota.
Senate Special Committee has recommended that appointment process in Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) be brought under control of provinces to ensure implementation of provincial quota.A meeting of the Special Committee held in Islamabad on Monday in Parliament House under its chairman Jahangir Badar to deliberate over the matter of appointments in FBR.Member Admn FBR Hasnain Ahmad told the committee there were 14 RTOs and 3 LTOs working in FBR. The appointments are made on regional quota basis, he pointed out.The committee recommended that inductions be made in FBR on the basis of provincial quota rather than regional quota basis so that implementation of provincial quota could be ensured.
