PML-N to resist accountability bill: Shahbaz

Summary CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said Saturday PML-N would put up stiff resistance against its passage.

“PPP government has presented accountability bill through back door rather than through consensus to cover up its corruption. This is not acceptable to us in any way. This bill has been framed to protect thieves, looters and usurpers wherein national interests have been sidelined fully.PML-N has always talked of principles and we will not allow this bill to be passed at any cost ”, he said this while talking to media men in Muslim League House here after condoling with Mian Yawar Zaman MPA on the death of his mother.Malala Yousufzai was intelligent daughter of this nation who had put her life at stake for upholding one ideology and embarked upon sacred mission of promotion of education, he observed. Brutal attack on her was tantamount to challenge the whole nation, he stated.Time has come now to deal with such forces sternly without taking into account any compulsion and utilize all resources to root out such elements, he urged.Pakistan future is very bright and its reflection lies in Malala Yousufzai, he remarked. Government of Punjab has taken upon itself to transform the province into a literate province, he held.As far as PPP and its allied parties are concerned, they are dreaming of coming into power in future, he said adding this is their right but the ground realities are otherwise. PPP led government has given nothing to this nation except poverty and backwardness.PML-N will emerge victorious in the general election no matter how much PPP and its coalition partners exercise influence, he asserted. Those taunting us of political isolation will stay no more in electoral fields, he underlined.
