Summary PPP MNAs say provincial government cannot even control Quetta and must be dissolved.
Speaking on point of order in the National Assembly, leader of PPP, Usman Advocate stating failure of central and provincial governments in maintaining law and order in Balochistan, noted that about 47 persons were killed in Khuzdar during the last month.He said, instead of making efforts for bettering peace situation in the country, Interior Minister, Rehman Malik is busy in tours abroad as if he were country’s foreign minister.He noted that certain ‘Sardars’ are managing groups that are involved in abduction for ransom and target-killings in Balochistan.If the Balochistan issue is not resolved, it can make way to a ‘new Bangladesh’, Usman Advocate claimed.Another PPP-leader, Nasir Shah said the government that cannot control Quetta city, will not be able to establish peace in whole of Balochistan.Defence minister, Naveed Qamar said special committee on Balochistan, headed by him, would present its report in the next meeting of the cabinet.Also, Sardar Yaqoob Nasir pointed out that action should be taken to start construction-work on an avenue in NA-55 in Balochistan.At this, Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Faisal Karim Kundi said the matter should be forwarded to NA’s standing committee on communication.At this, Federal minister, Khursheed Shah summoned the Chairman of National Highway Authority to report about the issue.Federal Law Minister, Farooq H. Naek said during the NA’s meeting that the Supreme Court has given ruling regarding dual nationality about which a bill has been presented in the Senate to make relevant constitutional amendment. The bill is with the NA’s standing-committee for legal affairs, he maintained.He said the overseas Pakistanis have the right to vote. He stated that such a law should be passed that would enable them cast vote from abroad.Sindh has been divided into two factions through the local government ordinance, Dr Darshan of PML-N said adding that the supporters of this ordinance have violated the constitution.Dr Darshan also staged walkout to record his opposition of the ordinance.
