Partial strike is being observed in Nawabshah and other cities of the district against the people’s local ordinance for the third consecutive day.Most of the trade centers remained shut following the strike while four hundred people were arrested under the anti-terrorism act till Tuesday.Rangers and police also arrested twenty workers including the district president and general secretary of Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party in a joint search operation.The public transport was also disrupted due to the strike.Meanwhile, heavy contingents of police and rangers have been deployed in the district to avoid any untoward situation.
