Summary The expected extension in service of Army Chief Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has been challenged in IHC.
Media reported that the filed petition in the Islamabad High Court pointed that the age of the incumbent COAS has crossed 60 years as on April 20, 2012 he was of 60 years.If the government would extend his service then it will unconstitutional and illegal, therefore, the COAS should be removed from his position, the petition explained.Chief Justice IHC Iqbal Hameed ur Rehman will hear the proceeding of the filed petition against the COAS about extension in service.
