Summary PM Raja Pervez Ashraf has restricted PPP leader Jamshed Dasti to comment on Ephedrine case any more.
MNA, Jamshed Dasti had given his statement publicly against ANF (Anti Narcotics Force), in Supreme Court, while standing next to the accused Ali Musa Gilani, son of former PM, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani.PM, Raja Pervez Ashraf personally phoned Jamshed Dasti to restrain himself in future and take his statement against ANF back, but an obdurate Dasti, refused on the grounds of “no compromise on my principles”.Dasti due to his unavoidable busy schedule, however his right-hand closest aide Muzaffar Iqbal Gormani confirmed that Dasti did receive a phone call from PM over the issue.Gormani further informed ONLINE, that PM also asked NHA chairman Muhammad Ali Gormani to convey his (PM’s) directives, but Dasti seemed resolved over his same “principled stand”.It is pertinent to note that chairman NHA, Muhammad Ali Gormani was a strong, trustworthy supporter of former PM Gilani, and was appointed as chairman NHA from his post as a commissioner of Multan during Gilani’s tenure.
