Locals evacuating South Waziristan

The security forces have expedited operation against militants in South Waziristan, Dunya News Monday reported. The forces ordered the locals to vacate the area for expediting operation to eliminate Baitullah Mehsud network. A large number of people have started migrating the area after the announcement and are reaching Mir Ali area of North Waziristan after covering extremely difficult and dangerous mileage. The forces started bombardment on the hideouts of militants with heavy artillery and mortar shells in Makin, Nawaz Kot and Spain Qamar. Mehsud area of South Waziristan is considered the hub of the militants. The forces launched operation here three months ago while a decision to intensify the operation has been taken after suicide attacks on Bannu Police station and Sadar Peshawar.
