Provincial and district administration refused to hand over report over the last week’s blaze that engulfed a shoe factory on Lahore’s Band Road, killing at least 25 people.According to sources, in a report forwarded to President by provincial governor, Pakistan Muslim League (N) leadership and concerned department were directly blamed for the incident.The report says that factory location was inadequate for construction of an industrial unit and it was also included in the ‘negative list.’It was added that industrial department failed to perform its duty in this regard.It is pertinent to mention here that Governor Latif Khosa repeatedly asked the provincial government and local administration for report over the incident, but no step was taken from both sides.
